Charles & Xiang Feng (Pre-Wed)

When we worked with Xiang Feng and Charles on this styled shoot, we asked about their love story and how Charles proposed. These details were important to us when we craft a scene for aphotoshoot.

"He was a hopelessly devoted guy, always there for me throughout my college days as I selfishly devoted all of my time and energy to my academic pursuit and school activities. This went on for 5 years, until one fateful day, in a twist of fate, my world came crashing down on me as I lay on the hospital bed, struggling to come to terms with a dreadful diagnosis.

Through the years, I was blinded by my own social life, caught up in the paper chase, and not until I was forced by circumstances to step back and slow down did I realise how much I’d neglected the people who really cared for me. From there, we started to open up, to understand each other better, and I grew fonder of him. Although it wasn’t an easy decision to make especially when my prognosis was uncertain at the start, we took the leap of faith, and surrendering all our cares unto our Lord’s hands, we built a relationship together.

In retrospect, it was in the darkest of times that I found my greatest blessing. He taught me what it’s like to love someone wholeheartedly.

Now, he’s still the same hopelessly devoted guy, and I’m just, hopelessly in love with him more and more each day"

Charles proposed in Japan with a song he wrote, titled "Make My Life Complete". He played the guitaar, he sang and she said "Yes".

Inspired by their love and encounters, moved by the music and words of Charles, we styled this shoot with a printed backdrop of Charles original scores and lyrics. Brought along their music instruments, with a perfect weather after the rain.
